Ynot and his recent released ''Lady Killa'' Project.

Making Old Music New

It's no secret that current popular music is starting to sound the same. The same artists are starting to consistently work together. The same beats are being remixed. The same shallow messages about mindless and questionable activities are being drilled into the ears of listeners.

The industry is falling flat.

Enter up and coming artist, Ynot, former lead singer of Glamourlyke, this six foot chocolate drink of body art has dared to challenge the industry by dropping his mixtape olde school style, DJ Wally Sparks presents... "Lady Killa." On this release you won't hear an over-hyped dj scream his name out like it's more important than the music he's supposed to be promoting. Instead DJ Wally Sparks let's the work speak for itself and we LOVE him for that...#ShoutOUT.

Ynot what inspired you to do "Lady Killa"?
"I was in a group and we all decided to take a break, and I decided I wanted to keep doing music."

Where did this olde school inspiration come from...
"I listen to a lot of old CDs preferably Rick James, Prince, Cameo, The System. Those are the groups I listen to, like it's on the radio now. I listen to new things but lately the game is all starting to sound the same…somethings been lost."

What is Electro Trunk Funk?
It's what DJ Wally decided to name the vibe, the feeling he heard when he was listening to the mix tape. It gave him feelings of back in the days when tapes were sold out of the trunk. Radio DJs were the heart of the community and people lived life through their soundtrack.

One of the comments simply read, "Weirdo" What do you want your music to say to the industry? Are you weird???
These days if you aren't releasing music every 6 months you're not relevant as an artist. What people don't realize is great albums that stand the test of time, take just that... time. This project took 2 years of heartache, setbacks, frustrations, crippling writer's block and finally triumph. Without all of that work, without all of that pain you don't get something that people can feel...and who wants to listen to music that just leaves you cold?

So if you are looking for something warm to groove to...download "Lady Killa" NOW!!!
